US Open LIVE: Coco Gauff and Medvedev get boost after complains as Alcaraz breaks rules | Tennis | Sport

Andrey Rublev has said that he never even thought about his health during his US Open quarter-final defeat to Daniil Medvedev, who later hit out at the searing heat the match was played in.
“No, I’m not even thinking about my health, I don’t know,” said Rublev.
“At this moment, these moments I’m thinking that, I don’t know, I need to fight. Doesn’t matter how is tough. I mean, the sport is not easy.
“You need to be ready for everything that can happen. In the end, I don’t know. In the end, the best players, they prove that they are ready, and that’s why they are the best.”
